She's that one girl you see with the pencil woven

between her skinny fingers

She's the one who sits in the corner

instead of the middle of the room

The one who's always last to speak

The one who's words are kept secret to everyone

but herself

Always the one who bites

her own tongue

She's the girl who's beautiful

but doesn't think the same way

She's the one who can't be convinced

of the talents she holds

The flare that ignites the lives of the people around her

but she can't feel the heat for herself

She is weighed down by the insecurities she slings

over her shoulders

She's unconvinced of her own style

her own special self

She's the girl who paints

She's the girl who draws

She's the girl who writes

But second guesses every stroke of her brush

to every letter she prints

Shes that one girl whose eyes display a world

all her own

But she sees a somber world

staring back at her

She sees a daydream

where she doesn't belong

but my daydream wouldn't exist

without her

She's that one girl who's shy

and is scared to fly

But with every word she keeps

is a reason for me to fall

for her again

She thinks shes a stone on a shore

full of shells

but she's that girl who's brighter

than the evening sun

She's the one girl who is there when everyone else needs her

but no one is there for her

when she stumbles

and falls

But she's the girl who would stay there

beleiving that

is her place to stay

She's the girl who's heart holds the puzzle piece only one person

can fit into

She's that one girl who's held back by the load

she lugs around

She's that one girl who looks in the mirror

and doesn't see the pretty face I see

but a face she wishes wasn't hers

She's that one girl who's beautiful

the way she is

She's that one girl who's worries

exceed her talents

She's that one girl who thinks she's ignored

 by so many

She's that one girl who thinks shes never in the mind

of someone else

but

she's that one girl

who's always in mine

so a little thing i wrote about some deep feels i have been having lately ;-; excuse any erors in my writing. im tired and frankly i do not give a crap about them :3

This is very beautiful. I know my best friend would tell me that this is me. You capture this so well. So beautifully. And I know many people like this. Thank you for this. It brings the wonderful, amazing people who are ignored into the light.

Second-guessing her every creation, be it art or written word... I do the exact. Same. Thing. No matter what my parents or my friends say, I still sell myself short... ooh, got chills running down my spine now!

Would someone ever think something so sweet as this about me...?

Beautiful. Utterly beautiful.
She's a very fortunate, and a very relatable girl.
Does she know about your feelings towards her?

This poem honestly gave me the chills it is so beautiful. I don't if a poem has ever done that for me. I loved it. I like the repetition: She's the one girl. I think you did an excellent job.

Way too overt. Way too lowest common denominator. Show some ambition, some subtlety, some personal flair. We've seen this before a hundred times over. Make people think instead of nodding along with glazed over eyes; make them sit up out of their chairs and say "Holy shit." This isn't that. But even with the same topic you could do it. Take your time. Here's the secret about thoughts and ideas seeming like a sack of washed up shoal, shells and flotsam: most clauses and verses are just that. The trick is to sift through the debris to find the hidden gems. Of all the things one could say about the topic, find and carefully select the precious and unique few pieces and arrange them into a mosaic of meaning, whether the meaning is veiled and complex or simple but powerful.

Is my poem  too simple? Because I really did try to add meaning, but I guess my wording and word format kind of diluted the meaning a tad. Do you have any tips for me to make it better?

You've written too much, in my opinion, that is essentially the same thing. You pass a point at which you're not writing a poem; you're just writing a descriptive piece or, yet worse, a song without music. The short answer: tell the reader less and imply more. Create some imagery. It's a massive pain weaving a perfect metaphor or even just sifting through all the similes to find a few perfect ones but it's the difference between middle of the road self-indulgence and true poetry.

I see. I think my writing has gotten super lazy. I'm a good essay writer so I kind of repeat things needlessly to fill in space. So I wrote down everything I think instead of thinking about what it means, which is crucial to poetry writing. And seeing many writer if today, and writing examples from recent dates, I take those more into consideration than other writings, which seem simple and without meaning. Thanks for telling me :3 I really needed to know because sometimes I just write to keep up with things
